Martin Blüggel is a chemist by training with deep expertise in the field of Mass Spectrometry, Protein Analysis, Proteomics and related Bioinformatics. With this Martin has supported numerous Biotherapeutic Developments with a strong focus on Biosimilar Development since 2009. He is author of more than 35 scientific publications and has presented state of the art analytical methods to the Biotechnology Working Party (BWP, EMA) and Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI). He is member of the extended Board of the European Association of Pharma Biotechnology.
Martin Blüggel became Director Bio-IT of Protagen since 1999, became Chief Operating Officer of Protagen in 2002 and Executive Vice President of Protagen AG in 2009. In July 2012 he became Chief Business Officer of Protagen Protein Services GmbH. In 1999 Martin Blüggel was co-founder of Protagen AG. Since then he sets up the profitable business in Protagen´s AG core units Bioinformatics and Analytics.
